amgen job description the role reports into the site leader and will be responsible for the development of the materials management department in line with the company\'s needs, introducing new and innovative techniques in the areas of production/inventory planning, control.
. ensure that production plans are exploded into raw material, finihsing suplpies and finsihed godos requirements on receipt of forecasts and at any significant change to such plans.dispensary, shipping and logistics so as to meet the required standard of output, control,
. manages the function of warehousing, despatch, quality and utilisation of manpower and equipment within agreed budgets.
. have substantial experience in similar managerial position or significant experience in a drug product mateirals manaegment department as planning supervisor.leadership and develpoment management, teaching,
. develop and maintain an effective organisation through selection.
. define and regularly update our invetnory policies for all materials, reflecting prior performance and current needs of the business. etc, service leevls, overtime, g. manning levels.
. prepares and submit annual expenditure budgets and montior actual performance against these budgets, taking corrcetive aciton whree necessary

basic qualifications hold a 3rd level degree or equivalent.frequency of monitoring to reflect what is necessary to achieve or improve on past cycle stock check performance.
. monitor the receipt and issuance of forecasts and ensure that they are processed within the required time frame. ensure that the materials management department is staffed with motivated and well trained colleagues and that ongoing programmes are initiated and maintained to ensure flexibility and productivity within the department.
. perform all tasks with due care and attention and in accordance with good manufacturing practices and pfizer requirements, policies and procedures.
. excellent team development sklils and a good undersatnding of supply chian management
. idetnify devitaions from plan and take corrective action where necessary,
. monitor inventory levels of all raw materials, finishing supplies and finished goods.liiase with the relveant superivsors in the coruse of the day to day actiivties.
. be part of a leanring and development progarmme which will include goal setting, annual performance reviews and individual development plans.
. ensure that service levels are maintained at agreed levels.
. determine appropriate allocation of site resources.regular contact and interface with central procurement in relation to direct materials and spend.
. ensure that forecasts are translated into detailed inventory plans, together with realistic production plans.
. balance the production and inventory plans to reflect available resources and other control criteria -e.demonstrated ability to lead/influence others.
. control the inward processing scheme in accordance with government regulations and liaise with customs agents on matters/queries relating to imports and exports.
. develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, relevant agencies and other stakeholders.
. ensure the warehousing facility has the proper equipment which is compliant with all safety and gmp requirements.
. ensure effective two-way communication within the plant, with peers and groups internally and externally.
