recognised accounting qualification or equivalent
ideally:
practical experience in dealing with accounting issues in a plc or equivalent organisation, including:
first-time adoption of ifrs and ongoing advice on new and revised standards under ifrs and irish gaap;
structured finnace transactions, group reorganisations and asset financing; and
improvements to accounting processes and controls
identifying new business opportunities and working with internal contacts to convert leads and opportunities into projects
building and maintaining strong relationships with senior finance persnonel
mangaing and coahcing team memebrs
promtoing faas both intenrally and extenrally, eihter in pratcice or indsutry
an auidt or financial advsiory backrgound
strong knoweldge of ifrs, dircetor & partners
accountabilities
providing practical advice to clients on a variety of issues, both internally and externally
committed to relationship development and able to identify opportunities to deliver the best value
a genuine interest in ifrs and financial reporting issues
good communicator.there are also growing opportunities to work on short term projects overseas, supporting global ernst & young teams, as ifrs becomes more prevalent worldwide.but you will be part of a 60-person team across ireland and the uk whose aim is to help companies address the commercial and financial reporting challenges they face in their business, this role is based in dublin.
